We're kicking off Mindful March with this research-supported offering to improve brain health and wellness. Chris and Heather will team up to provide this special class combining the ancient practices of Yoga Nidra and Reiki. Scientific research supports the power of Yoga Nidra (also known as yogic sleep) to support brain health, nervous system regulation and healthier sleep. In this one hour class, Chris will guide you through a Yoga Nidra meditation to help you find deep relaxation and a state of consciousness between wakefulness and sleep. (Some practitioners actually fall asleep by the end of a Yoga Nidra practice, and although this is not the goal, it is absolutely welcome!) While you rest in a supported reclined posture, Heather will provide reiki energy healing to those who chose to receive. These practices will be woven together in ways that will help you find a more restorative rest for body and mind.
