Yoga for Working with Shame

Shame, like all emotions, is a physical experience. Yoga offers multiple ways to meet shame and begin to transform it. 'Getting it right' is a matter of gently meeting ourselves in the moment and keeping our hope and aspiration alive. Most of us would never choose shame as a partner in this life. We come by it for many sad reasons — abuse, neglect, oppression, and injustice. In this workshop we will explore some of the most common tools the yoga tradition offers to transform shame into the energy and consciousness of peace and thriving.
