Meeting in the Library 💛❤️About the YES for Galesburg‑Augusta Committee 💛❤️
We’re a group of parents, staff, alumni, and community members working together to support the May 5th Bond Proposal, a plan designed to protect our schools, strengthen our facilities, and ensure safe, reliable learning environments for every G‑A student.
This bond focuses on critical needs that can’t be ignored:
🔨 New Roofs
Many of our buildings are experiencing ongoing leaks and water damage. Replacing aging roofs protects classrooms, technology, and learning materials and prevents costly emergency repairs down the road.
🚍 New Transportation Facility
Our current transportation building is deteriorating due to age, structural issues, and outdated systems. A modern facility means safer bus maintenance, better efficiency, and a reliable fleet for student transportation.
🔥 Boiler & Mechanical Upgrades
Aging boilers and mechanical systems are becoming increasingly unreliable. Updating them ensures consistent heating, safer operations, and long‑term cost savings for the district.
This proposal is about responsible stewardship, student safety, and protecting the future of G‑A Schools. Our goal is to educate the community, answer questions, and help every voter understand why these improvements matter.
