About this Event
Woven Metaphors: Inspired By Our Grandmothers
poetry workshop 14y+Tina Demirdjian
Write a poem using the metaphors found and woven in the imagined clothing and embroidery of our ancestors with emphasis on the handiwork of our grandmothers. How do we elicit their thoughts through the curves, shapes, and symbols they created?
🥁OPEN CALL: Have an Armenian family story to share about textiles, costumes, or treasures? We’d love to collect oral histories to share on a platform of ancestral stories. Submit here: [email protected]
