We’ll be exploring colour, shadow, angle and textures of light that will enable you to see some familiar and comfortable shapes in a whole new light (pardon the pun!).
Light can reveal and conceal.
It can change our perception of colour and scale.
It can create mysterious shapes and fire our imaginations.
Through considered application of light we can tell different stories with exactly the same movement.
Come and play with this magical partner and see what stories you can tell….
This workshop will work with a range of apparatus and is suitable for people at all levels of their aerial journey.
We will use known and familiar vocabulary, so no new movement will be taught.
The focus of this workshop is on tuning into the ways that lighting can affect how our movement is seen and experienced.
Please note, this workshop may not be suitable for those who have photosensitivity. If you are sometimes sensitive to bright lights, but would like to try this workshop, bring some sunglasses so you have an option to reduce the risk of glare causing you discomfort.
