Dr Bike Health Check (BBR)

As part of the 'Big Bike Revival', hosted by 'Cycling UK', Sunderland Young People's Bike project are pleased to offer a number of FREE Dr Bike Health Checks.

Dr Bike Health Checks are “drop-in” sessions where people can bring their own bikes and have a qualified cycling mechanic check to ensure they are safe and roadworthy.

This is not a full service and repair, but an "MOT" of the bikes brought a-long. Our mechanics will check all the components of the bike and provide a report on what needs to be done to ensure they are safe.

We will carry out any minor repairs if required such as brake adjustment, gear indexing & adjustment, chain – check for wear and lubricate, if necessary, puncture repair, check tyres are inflated to recommended pressure (PSI).

Last bike drop off 30 minutes prior to the end of the session to allow our mechanics time to complete a full check.
