Saturday 21 June at the Kyogle Bowling Club, 5pm for a 6pm start.
What is the Clothes Swap? And how does it work?
If you've never been to Clothes Swap before, you're in for a treat. First, go through your wardrobe, and find any clothes you no longer wear - maybe they no longer fit you, maybe you don't like how they fit, maybe you're just tired of them. As long as they are clean and in good condition (the sort of thing you'd be comfortable giving to a friend), bring them along on the night.
PLEASE NOTE: no underwear, swimwear, lingerie, sleepwear please. Shoes and accessories welcome.
On the night - bring cash: $10 entry fee plus extra cash for the auction. Doors will open at 5pm, drop your bag of clothes to our volunteer sorters. All clothes will be sorted into sizes and placed on to tables. Once all the clothes have been sorted (if you arrive too close to the start time it means everyone has to wait for your clothes to be sorted, so please come a little early!), we open the doors and you are free to take home whatever clothes you like! As many as you like! Particularly nice items will be auctioned to the highest bidder (auction items start at $1 - a bargain!). All leftover clothes are donated to the Anglican Op Shop.
This is our branch's major fundraiser for the year, and it's always popular. Proceeds go to local community projects as well as charities such as Westpac Rescue Helicopter, Doctors without Borders, and other worthy recipients. We also donate to the CWA Disaster Fund and the CWA Emergency Fund, both of which help families in need during drought, floods, and bushfires.
