If you've never thought yourself as flexible or that yoga perhaps isn't for you, then come and join me for my beginner slow flow yoga class. Curious about yoga but not sure where to start? Returning after years away? Or maybe you've never really considered yourself as bendy or flexible enough to try yoga.
You will get to explore how poses feel for you, rather than what they should look like. We'll have fun along the way and you'll confident knowing how the poses sequence together in a flow.
My aim is to create a very welcoming, friendly, judgment free space where you can learn, explore how yoga can benefit you. This is not just in the poses themselves, but also how being on your mat can give you that much needed time out, a pause in your day and time to relax, unwind, de-stress and feel rejuventated.
As a yoga teacher, natural movement coach and ex-primary school teacher working with women over 40 for over 15 years, I'm here to support you into how yoga can benefit you, on and off the mat. I understand those going through peri-menopause, menopause and beyond. I also understand the pressures of work, caring for children and our parents.
This 60-minute session focuses on:
Understanding how yoga poses feel for you with alignment cues to help you understand what feels right for your body
Core strength and joint stability
Ways to improve your balance through poses and breathwork
Ways to improve your bone density
Breathwork for stress relief and hormone support
Building your confidence with yoga
Reconnecting with yourself
No experience is necessary. In fact it really doesn't matter if you're not flexible. Just come as you are, with a mat.
