About this Event
Join us for an end of year Women in Energy breakfast celebration, exploring what’s next for energy and climate policy in Australia, featuring Alison Reeve, Energy and Climate Change Program Director, Grattan Institute.
Alison brings over two decades of experience in climate change, clean energy policy, and technology, spanning the private, public, academic, and not-for-profit sectors. Alison led development of Australia’s National Hydrogen Strategy (2019) and has shaped key areas of Commonwealth policy including offshore wind, energy innovation, energy efficiency, and structural adjustment.
The event will explore how governments, industry, and communities are navigating the complex transition to net zero amid rapidly evolving policy settings. Alison will share insights on the next wave of policy challenges and opportunities shaping the energy sector, followed by an audience Q&A and a light breakfast.
The conversation will cover:
- How Australia’s policy landscape is shifting to meet net zero goals
- Key challenges in energy transition, decarbonisation, and system reliability
- Opportunities for women to lead and influence change across the sector
This event is designed to foster connection and share practical insights among women working across energy, policy, and sustainability. Guests will have the opportunity to network over breakfast and to make the morning even smoother, please include your coffee order when you register so it’s ready and waiting for you!
