Location: RCRPC Milton Classroom

Cost: $65

Classroom times: 11 am until 3 pm (4hrs, although time spent varies upon number of students in class)

Range times: No range time - DO NOT BRING A FIREARM TO THE CLASS

Short description of the course:

Participants will learn about:

1. Safe handgun ownership
2. Firearm Safety and Basic Firearm Fundamentals
3. Proper Grip, Stance, & Trigger pull
4. Handgun handling, loading, and unloading, (using dummy rounds)
5. Concealed Carry options
6. Different types of holsters are available
7. Storage and Cleaning
8. Mental preparation for handgun ownership
9. Deadly Encounters and the Aftermath
10. Defensive Shooting Fundamentals
11. The Legal Use of Force
12. Wisconsin CCW Regulations and Certificate of Completion

Is there a shooting component to the class?: Class Room Only, No shooting requirement for Wisconsin

Will the student receive a certificate of completion to obtain their WI CCW License?: Students will receive a Concealed Carry Firearms Training Proof of Training Certificate that can be uploaded or mailed to the WIDOJ along with the required application/fee. The application is available on the WIDOJ website (Welcome to Concealed Carry Weapon Application)

Maximum number of students accepted: 15

Minimum number of students to hold the class: 2

Any prerequisites to attend the training?: All participants must be 21 years of age.

Things a student must bring to the training: Snacks, beverage, and a positive attitude and a willingness to learn all you can to be a responsible handgun owner

Anything a student should do in preparation for the training: Talk to a friend/family member about taking the class with you. It is always fun to have someone you know in the class.
