*Please note that we have changed the dates for this series. Sadly, Storm Gorreti destroyed the yurt at Growing Links and we will now be using the "Tin shed". Starting on 12th February through to 12th March (5 sessions in total)*
Winter can bring shorter days, colder weather, and a natural slowing that can feel challenging for many of us. This Winter Wellness series is an invitation to meet the season with care, connection, and intention. Through committing to regular self-care and time in nature, you can build resilience and support your mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing during the winter months.
The series offers 3-hour (10am-1pm) nature-based group sessions, run weekly from the 12th February through to the 12th March. You may book the full programme, individual sessions, or a mix that suits you.
Sessions are not group therapy; instead, they create an invitational, present-moment space where you can step out of everyday pressures and reconnect with what sustains you. Each session includes a variety of nature connection practices such as nature based mindfulness, gentle movement, creativity, solo and group activities, reflective time, and learning about plants and wildlife. These practices are designed to resource you with practical tools for self-care and wellbeing that you can carry into daily life.
**Pricing and Accessibility** These sessions are not free. Places are offered on a sliding scale, starting at £10 per session, with a recommended price of £40 per person, based on 10 people attending. If this cost is not affordable for you, fully funded places are available. We will never turn anyone away because of finances so please talk to us about your situation. Our aim is to keep these sessions welcoming, inclusive, and accessible to all. If you are able to pay at the higher end of the scale, your contribution helps support others to take part and supports the long-term sustainability of Nature Connects.
Grounded in the University of Derby’s research-based 5 Pathways to Nature Connection, the programme supports wellbeing by strengthening reciprocal relationships between people and the natural world.
Sessions will take place at Growing Links Community Garden in Gulval, Penzance. By choosing to show up for yourself this winter—whether for one session or the full journey—you’ll cultivate deeper connection, greater resilience, and a renewed sense of belonging with yourself, others, and the natural world.
