About this Event
Energy Circle evenings are sound meditations, helping to develop a deeper connection with ourselves. As we approach the end of the year and the Winter Solstice, this is a perfect time to go inwards and cultivate inner peace.
The format will centre around a seated sound meditation where participants adopt an active approach to sound, rather than a more passive manner when lying down during a sound bath. The instruments used will differ week to week, ranging from gongs, Himalayan bowls, crystal bowls and shamanic drums. Sessions will be supported by Life Alignment vortex energy patterns that will identify, enhance and focus the group's intention and support the needs of the collective.
The intention is to offer regular meditation practice for those seeking greater inner peace, as well as to develop a sense of community. They are stand-alone sessions, so you can attend any number you choose. No meditation experience is necessary, just an open mind. There will be time for tea and discussion afterwards.
What you need to know:
* Arrive on time - I will meet you at the corner of Birkbeck and Grove House Roads from 6.50pm until 7pm to guide you to the entrance of the studio which is a little tricky to find. Once started, the doors of the venue will be closed and late comers will not be able to enter.
* Bolsters and blankets are provided, but feel free to bring your own meditation cushion if you so wish.
* Wear comfortable, warm clothing, as body temperature tends to drop in states of relaxation.
* Warm socks recommended as you are kindly requested to remove shoes before entering the gong space.
* Avoid drinking alcohol, caffeine and eating a heavy meal before the event.
* Avoid wearing noisy jewelry and strong perfumes
* Bring a journal if you would like to take some time to reflect on your experience afterwards.
* Unfortunately refunds and transfers are not possible.

Practitioner information:
Philip trained as a classical pianist and taught music for twenty years before feeling a call to change focus and delve into the therapeutic and healing aspects of sound. He holds a sound therapy diploma in gongs, Himalayan bowls, and crystal bowls from the British Academy of Sound Therapy and another diploma in sound healing from the College of Sound Healing under gong master Sheila Whittaker. He has also received advanced training from maestra Yin Xiong in South Africa and completed a Gong Meditation course with Yogi Mehtab Benton in the USA. Operating from his Ensomble Studio in Crouch End, North London, he works with individual clients, tailoring sessions to their specific needs. He also is a qualified Life Alignment practitioner, and combines this modality with sound, helping clients release energetic blocks that are holding them back in life. He enjoys collaborating with fellow musicians, and is particularly passionate about introducing schools to the benefits of sound therapy.
