Did you know that you can use maple sap for more than just syrup? Tapping a maple tree can be a wonderful experience, and you don't need a grove of sugar maple trees to do it! Join IYE foraging instructors Katie & Luke Venechuk at the beginning of sap season for a class that will cover everything you need to know to try tapping a tree this year.
We'll teach you how to identify maple trees in the winter, how to tap a tree ethically and sustainably, and we’ll offer an in-depth overview about how to make maple syrup. We’ll also discuss different ways you can use the sap, because YES, there are more options than just syrup here, friends!
As a bonus for this year's class, we'll also be visiting a second tree that offers a fantastic winter syrup, no tapping required.
...Intrigued? Come join us and expand your relationship with the trees this winter!
All are welcome & no experience is necessary to join us.
