While the Soviet Union took control of winemaking in their territories in the decades following World War 2, many tense meetings between leaders across the globe were famously paired with diplomatic toasts. Wine was intertwined with much of the dealings and relationship rebuilding during this incredibly strained period of history. Let's talk about it.
