Workshop - Berry Basket
Date/Time - Sat Oct 31st, 10 am - 5 pm
Join me and learn the ancient heritage craft of willow weaving in the magnificent surroundings of Castle Coole in a cosy room in The Grand Yard.
In this workshop you will learn how to make your very own beautiful berry basket to take home with you You will learn traditional weaving techniques to construct the basket. We will weave the base of the basket, then stake up the basket, weave the sides and create a border, finally we will add a pegged handle. I will guide you through each step with easy to follow instructions. This workshop is suitable for beginners.
You will have a great day in a wonderful setting learning an ancient craft.
£75 pp. All materials and tools are provided.
Please bring your lunch with you or there is an onsite cafe and shops nearby. Tea, Coffee and biscuits are included in the cost of the workshop.
