Spend a relaxed, creative day weaving a lifelike willow chicken, perfect for your garden or as a truly special handmade gift.Using a mainly random weave technique, this is a wonderfully sociable workshop. Once you’ve learned the basics, you can chat and weave at an easy pace, with guidance throughout. Along the way, you’ll also pick up some lovely traditional basket-making techniques to shape details like legs, comb and tail feathers.
Feeling adventurous? You don’t have to stick to chickens! Any bird of a similar size is possible – real or imagined. Bring your ideas and you’ll be supported to turn them into a unique piece of sculpture.
