Willet Street Cemetery - Take a Hike Summer Series tour

Visit Cleveland's historic Jewish cemetery, established in 1840 by the Israelitic Society, today known as Congregation Mishkon Or. This site marks the city’s first Jewish burial ground, beginning with the burial of Mr. Alexander Kahnweiler. Located on Fulton just south of Lorain, it is the area where many of the first Jewish settlers made their home in Cleveland. On this tour, you'll learn about Jewish history, burial traditions, and the significance of community in Jewish heritage.

Parking is available in the business parking lot directly cross Fulton Road. Please meet at the cemetery side street gate entrance.

This Take a Hike® Stroll is made possible through a partnership with United Jewish Cemeteries, Inc. and Western Reserve Historical Society.

RESERVATIONS are requested but not required, walk-ups the day of tour are welcomed.
