Why Dads are Overrated - "Developing a more intimate relationship with divinity"
Join Anupama Das in deconstructing the traditional perceived role of God as the "Father" and enter a realm of sweeter connection and exchange.
Anupama traveled alone to India at 18 in search of enlightenment and found it in the teachings of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Since then he's been working to apply those teachings in his life and share them with others through outreach programs and the distribution of transcendental literatures. He is the founder of Bhakti Center's Soul Spot sankirtan initiative, an editor for book projects such as The Four Questions by Vaisesika Dasa and Yugal Kishore Das's Self-Management Series. He helps manage a Krishna-inspired bed and breakfast in Chelsea and currently resides in north Jersey with his wife Mani and their two cats Japa and Bhumi.

Info: Get your dance on or just absorb yourself in the sacred space and atmosphere. The Darshan Room starts off in the temple room with the broader temple community with kirtan (mantra meditational chants & dance) and devotional dance. It is a powerful way to bring mind out of the busyness of NYC and enter the sacred atmosphere by engaging the mind, voice, and body.
