What You Do Matters: Lessons from the Holocaust is a highly interactive course developed in concert with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM), specifically for law enforcement professionals. The course examines the role of law enforcement during one of history's darkest chapters - exploring how police, courts, and the broader criminal justice system were drawn into complicity with state-sponsored persecution, and what that history teaches us about the enduring importance of ethical leadership, professional integrity, and the protection of human rights. Facilitated by law enforcement professionals and utilizing historical images, videos, artifacts, and displays selected by museum historians, the course fosters meaningful dialogue about the core values that define principled law enforcement. It is unlike any other course in criminal justice and is supported by years of short-term and long-term survey results and POST approval in multiple states.
