The American Legion Auxiliary Department of Connecticut is proud to present the 2026 Laurel Girls State Program, taking place June 27 – July 2, 2026, at the University of New Haven.
Laurel Girls State is a prestigious leadership and civics education program for high school girls, offering a hands-on experience in government, public service, and responsible citizenship. Participants will learn how local, state, and national governments function through interactive activities, mock elections, leadership roles, and teamwork—all while building confidence, friendships, and lifelong skills.
Students will have the opportunity to meet inspiring speakers, collaborate with peers from across Connecticut, and challenge themselves in a supportive and empowering environment.
