About this Event

What it means to identify as Christian can look very different depending on where you stand.

The landscape of Christian faith in Canada is shifting. Churches and denominations are changing. Patterns of belief and belonging are changing. Some people are finding new expressions of faith, while others are distancing themselves from institutions and traditions they once called home. At the same time, movements within Christianity are exerting significant influence on politics, culture, and public life.

For some, this moment brings hope and possibility. For others, what they see being called “Christian” can feel increasingly unfamiliar—or even troubling.

How did we arrive here? What currents are shaping the way Christian faith is understood and expressed today? Who remains connected to the church, who has left, and what fractures have contributed to that change? And where might we go from here?

Reflector Project’s 2026 Fall Conference brings together scholars, writers, and practitioners to explore these questions and the changing landscape of Christianity in Canada and beyond.
