Multidisciplinary updates, practical learning and MDT discussion focused on limb salvage and preventing avoidable amputation
About this Event

The inaugural WestCAP (West of Scotland Collaborative for Amputation Prevention) Multidisciplinary Limb Salvage Conference brings together healthcare professionals with a shared interest in preventing avoidable amputation and improving outcomes for people at risk of limb loss.

This focused, in-person educational meeting will explore contemporary approaches to limb salvage through expert-led presentations, interactive MDT discussion and shared learning from across vascular surgery, diabetes, podiatry, infectious diseases, interventional radiology, orthopaedics, Ph*rm*cy, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, orthotics and prosthetics.

Topics will include advances in revascularisation, diabetic foot infection, contemporary diabetes care, offloading strategies, Medic*tion optimisation, rehabilitation, prosthetic outcomes and service improvement. A live Mini-MDT session will provide attendees with the opportunity to participate in real-world decision making around complex limb salvage cases.

The meeting is designed for consultants, trainees, specialist nurses, podiatrists, AHPs, students and all professionals involved in limb salvage.
