West Park Program Pack: Spring 2024

Discover West Fairmount Park this spring through a Fairmount Park Conservancy Program Pack. From historical landmarks to beautiful trail systems to iconic cultural institutions -- West Fairmount Park has something for everyone! Learn about its unique history, explore its vast trails, and connect with fellow park-lovers through a series of three programs, focused on nature, wellness, history, and more.
By registering for Program Packs, participants receive:
--a $25 savings versus registering for programs individually
--program discount codes, emailed out a few times a year, for additional West Park programs
--priority registration for future 2024 Program Packs
Program Packs are offered each season and contain three distinct programs on three separate dates. Programs are not interchangeable and by registering for the Program Pack, you commit to all three programs on the dates/times listed. See below for the three programs being offered as part of our Spring Program Pack and make sure to read the 'Important Information' section below before registering. Registration for the Spring 2024 Program Pack ends on Friday, May 3 (the day before the first program) OR whenever all spots fill -- whichever comes first. Space is limited so make sure to register soon!

SPRING 2024 PROGRAM PACK OFFERINGS**
--Saturday, May 4 from 9:30-11:30 AM: Tree Tour along the Trolley Trail (meeting at Belmont Plateau Cross Country Course)
--Thursday, June 13 from 6:00-8:00 PM: TRAILS TO ALES: Guided Hike + Drinks (meeting at Belmont Plateau)
--Saturday, June 22 from 9:00-10:15 AM: Tai Chi + Sound Healing Meditation (meeting outside of Shofuso Japanese Cultural Center -- program itself will be held outside in nearby field)
**Please note: These programs are NOT interchangeable with other dates/times that each program is offered. By registering for the Spring Program Pack, you commit to these programs on the dates/times listed above.
IMPORTANT PROGRAM PACK INFORMATION:

• By registering for the Program Pack, you commit to all three programs on the dates/times listed above. This is the only way to receive the $25 savings. If you are not interested in all three programs, you can register for the individual programs on our events page.
• A pre-event email containing important information on location, parking, etc. will be sent the day before each program. This information will also be in the email received after registering. However, no other reminder emails will be sent out so please make sure to write down each program's date, time, and location.
• There are a limited number of Program Pack spots available so please register early. Registration ends on Friday, May 3 OR when all spots fill -- whichever comes first.

  KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:

• Hikes are roughly 2-3 miles in length and are over a combination of open parkland and hilly trails (moderate exertion). Please dress for the weather and wear good hiking shoes.
• Programs are appropriate for adults and mature adolescents (minors must be ticketed and accompanied by a guardian).
• Bring water and a snack to programs (drinking water is not available in the park).
• Unfortunately, there are no bathrooms available at most locations so please plan accordingly.
• Hikes will leave a few minutes after the scheduled start time. Please arrive at the departure location at least five minutes early. We cannot guarantee that latecomers can join after the group has departed.
• For Sound Healing only: Bring a small meditation cushion, patio chair cushion, old towel, or padded yoga mat that you don’t mind getting a little dirty in the grass.
  

PARKING/GETTING THERE: Please see above for program locations. There is plenty of free parking available in the park. As always, never leave valuables in your car!

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY: Most events will take place in light rain. In the event of heavy rain or other severe conditions, we will try our best to reschedule the program. If the program cannot be rescheduled or you cannot make the rescheduled date, you will be eligible for a partial refund for that program ($10 for the hikes, $15 for sound healing).
