About the Clean Team Program
Did you know, on average the Clean Team program removes over 2,000 pounds of litter from West End streets every month!

In 2013, the West End Business Improvement Association (WEBIA) partnered with Gordon Neighbourhood House (GNH) to launch the Clean Team—a grassroots initiative dedicated to keeping West End streets and public spaces clean, welcoming, and vibrant for residents and visitors alike.

For over a decade, friendly Clean Team staff (often seen pushing their blue cleaning carts) have been picking up litter, erasing graffiti, reporting illegal dumping, and removing unauthorized posters along Davie, Denman, and Robson Streets five days a week.
At the same time, dedicated volunteers contribute by pitching in at seasonal community clean-up events, and contribute thousands of hours to help keep our neighbourhood tidy and sustainable.
Together, the Clean Team plays a vital role in keeping the West End clean, vibrant, and a community we can all take pride in.
