Baobab Black Seniors Care Society invites Black seniors to Wind in Our Hair, a joyful outdoor outing in partnership with Cycling Without Age Vancouver.
This community outing offers accessible trishaw rides through Stanley Park and along the Vancouver Seawall, giving seniors a chance to enjoy fresh air, beautiful views, storytelling, conversation, light refreshments, and meaningful connection.
This outing is designed especially for Black seniors in the community, including those with mobility barriers or limited access to outdoor activities. Seniors will sit comfortably and enjoy the ride while trained volunteer pilots pedal the trishaws at a relaxed and safe pace.
What to Expect:
Scenic trishaw rides, gentle outdoor time, fresh air, beautiful views, storytelling, conversation, social connection, light refreshments, and community care.
Why It Matters:
This outing helps reduce isolation, supports mental wellbeing, encourages outdoor activity and healthy aging, creates belonging and cultural connection, promotes visibility and inclusion of Black seniors, and supports joy, dignity, and community care.
