Join us for a full day of free, family-friendly health and wellness activities! This event will include a variety of fun, engaging trainings for kids and families, health screenings such as Blood Pressure, Fall Risk, Cognition, hands-only CPR training, and more! We will also have health experts and students from the YSU Bitonte College of Health and Human Services speaking on various topics and leading demos. Speakers:
10:15 - Mental Health
11:00 - Managing Arthritis with Dr. Rebecca Riblet
11:45 - Food is Medicine with Dr. Jeanine Mincher
12:30 - Accurate Sources of Health Information with Lauren Iagulli, Public Health
1:30 - Social Media and Child/Teen Mental Health
2:30 - All About Concussions with Dr. Erin Shilling and Dr. Alan Koren
Demonstrations:
10:30 - Yoga with Theresa Minich (includes a chair option)
12:30 - Cooking Demonstration: Making Healthy Wraps with Dr. Jeanine Mincher and YSU Students
1:10 - 10-Minute Kids Warm Up Stretch with YSU Students
1:30 - Kids Obstacle Course (Ages 3 -12 years old) OR Punt/Pass/Kick with Physical Therapy, Exercise Science and Athletic Training Students
