Women’s Day of Action: Rise Up for Pay Equity

132 years and one day after women secured the right to vote in Aotearoa, we are gathering again in strength and solidarity.
The Government gutted Pay Equity legislation that would have eased the cost of living and lifted pay of 182,000+ people. Across Aotearoa there will be activations to send a clear message: Pay equity is not optional. Our livelihoods should never be on the political chopping block.
📍 10:00am – Gather at Midland Park
💜 10:30am – Protest march down Lambton Quay to Parliament
🎤 11:00am – Rally at Parliament
🎉 11:30am – (doors open at 11am) Party for Pay Equity – a free, family-friendly celebration with kai, kids’ activities, live music and more! At Wellington Cathedral of St Paul.
Wear: purple, green and white in honour of suffrage
