Bird of the Year is back for 2025! Show us who you're backing with our crafty merch station! Show your colours by creating your own BOTY2025 campaign merch! Whether it’s a “Kiwi 4 Me” flag, “Vote Kākā” bunting, or a “Hihi for BOTY” sticker, get the word out there and support your favourite manu/bird!
Local artists Margaret Tolland and Tayla Hartemink supply the materials for these free events and guide tamariki/kids in creating their very own campaign merch to take home. You can even bring your own shirt, cap, or other cloth item to decorate! All ages are welcome.
This workshop will be held in the Visitor Centre Foyer, normal admission to the sanctuary applies.
Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne is delighted to be the Campaign Manager for kiwi in the 2025 Bird of the Year competition, and spot prizes are up for grabs for the best kiwi merch!
