Come spend your Saturday with us!

Weeksville Green market is kicking off the 2026 market season Saturday July 11th from 12-5pm. 

We’re excited to bring back a full line up of local business and workshops hosted by community leaders, activists, and artists around the preservation of Black foodways and our environment.

Our produce table will be stocked with fresh, affordable organic produce for your grocery needs. Come by to shop, commune, and learn something new!


Programming and entertainment for the day includes:

12pm - Doors Open

Browse and enjoy Fresh Produce from GrowNYC and curated selections from local businesses & community vendors: Scarlet's Web Bookstore, 18 August Ave, Henna Get a What What!,The Black Mermaid Society LLC, Maya Lewis, Central Brooklyn Food Coop.

Guests who purchase produce from our Greenmarket table or with one of our community vendors will receive food provided by while supplies last.


12:30pm – Yoga Nidra for Elders
Join Dianne Scott, founder of Joy of Living Yoga, for a restorative meditation and relaxation practice designed specifically for elders.


1:00pm – Fabric Food Forest Workshop
Create a collaborative quilt with Field Meridians while exploring local ecology, food forests, quilting traditions, and our relationships with the natural world.


2:00pm – Choose Your Flow

Rest & Restore Yoga with
Reconnect with yourself through an accessible outdoor yoga session for all ages, bodies, and experience levels. Yoga mats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

OR

The People's Land Audit with
Inspired by Weeksville's legacy as a free Black landowning community, this interactive workshop explores Community Land Trusts and collective visions for Black land stewardship in Brooklyn.


3:30pm – Natural Dye Workshop
Bio-designer Tajah (outofseam_) leads a hands-on workshop using fresh and dried plants to naturally dye silk. Participants will create and take home their own naturally dyed scarf.


Music Throughout the Day


Enjoy sounds by Brooklyn-based DJ Ella Hussle, whose genre-spanning sets blend R&B, UK Street Soul, Funk, Jazz, Disco, and House.
