A nurturing evening class to help you release the day, calm your nervous system and prepare your mind and body for a restful night´s sleep
About this Event

Wind Down – Nervous System Regulation for Rest & Sleep

Give yourself 40 minutes at the end of the day to slow down, settle your nervous system and prepare your body and mind for rest.

Wind Down is a gentle, nurturing evening class combining calming breathwork, slow somatic movement, self-facial and ear massage, vagus nerve-supportive practices, optional lavender aromatherapy and deep relaxation.

The focus is on moving out of the busyness of the day and into a quieter, more restful state. Movements are slow and mindful, with an emphasis on body awareness, releasing tension and helping you reconnect with a sense of calm.

The class may include:

  • Calming breath and longer-exhale practices
  • Gentle somatic and nervous system settling movements
  • Self-facial massage to release tension in the face, jaw and scalp
  • Ear massage and gentle vagus nerve-supportive practices
  • Optional use of a gentle lavender essential-oil blend during self-massage
  • Stillness and guided deep relaxation

This isn't an exercise class. There is nothing to achieve or keep up with. The intention is simply to create a cosy space where you can slow down and give your body permission to rest.

Come ready to wind down

Wear comfortable lounge wear or other soft, loose clothing. If you would like to take part in the facial massage, please come with a clean, make-up-free face. The lavender blend is completely optional.
