Weekly mindfulness meditation meet-up in Central Park

1 hour Saturday morning meeting to practice mindfulness meditation, guided by certified mindfulness meditation teachers.

• Back by popular demarnd from last year - close off the summer and get ready for fall with Mindfulness
• Meetings take place on Saturdays, starting on 09/05 and ending on 09/26
• Time: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
• Location: Central Park, NYC. Lawn next to The Central Park Lawn Bowling and Croquet Greens.
• Cost: Free | Donations (Dana) welcome

Join 3 certified New York Mindfulness mindfulness meditation teachers - 1 teacher each week, teachers rotate - for a weekly mindfulness meet-up in the heart of Central Park. Engage in guided meditations and community sharing to cultivate presence and connection. This meeting is suitable for teenagers and adults with some and advanced mindfulness meditation experience. No prior meditation retreat experience necessary.

What to Bring:

• Yoga mat, cushion or blanket
• Comfortable clothing
• Sunscreen
• Water or tea
• An open heart and mind

Gathering spot: The Central Park Lawn Bowling and Croquet Greens

Location: the fields of The Central Park Lawn Bowling and Croquet Greens are located at West 69th Street, north of Sheep Meadow. Central Park has two beautifully kept fields for lawn bowling and croquet, each 15,000 sq.ft. To get there - enter Central Park at West 69 Street. Follow the path straight up until you see the street, which is Central Park West. Cross the street. On the left you will find the 2 fields that are part of The Central Park Lawn Bowling and Croquet Greens. The group meets underneath the large tree on the grass in front of the 2nd field before the rest room area and the cafe.

1. Welcoming and discussion of class outline – 5 minutes
2. Grounding meditation - 15 minutes
3. Strech break - 2 minutes
4. Dharma talk - 6 minutes
5. Longer meditation (theme varies per week) – 17 minutes
6. Break up in groups of 2-3 to share - 10 minutes
7. Dana talk - 2 minutes
8. Follow-up practice tips, close – 3 minutes
