Welcome to the We Read to Live Book Club Meet Up (in person)!

This has been a dream of mine for a really, really long time. Hosting other readers and writers in New York City to talk about books. There are no assignments, no stiff questions, no rules on what format or genre you choose read. Most importantly, we don't have to read the same book. Each month, I release a well-curated selection of books that vary in genre, topic, and theme. The objective is to find literature that speaks to you, entertains you, and encourages you to keep reading.

There's no separation between reading and writing, so We Read to Live Book Club mixes book chat with writer prompts, sharing excerpts from our favorite books from the reading lists, and sharing books.

In order to facilitate this event in a space that's safe and accessible, I rented a venue in midtown Manhattan. Tickets are offered on a sliding scale, but they are limited! For those who are paying to attend, please know that every penny goes towards the rental fee, food and snacks, and other prep costs.

• Something to read
• Something to write with
• An extra book if you want to participate in the book swap!
• An excerpt of your favorite book if you'd like to share that with us

Info: For those interested in sharing what they wrote, we'll listen to each other's writing prompts - not to critique but to appreciate.

Info: For those who came with a book to swap, check the book table on your way out and take a good, gently used book home with you!
