ABOUT THE BOOK
Jaylen and Emma Halo couldn’t be more different from one another.
At seventeen years old, Jaylen would much rather binge his trashy reality shows than read the college brochures that his parents constantly shove in his face. The future paralyzes Jaylen with anxiety, so why think about it at all?
At fourteen years old, Emma Halo has her life meticulously mapped all the way to her Nobel Peace Prize win. Her therapist constantly tells her "let loose," but there isn't time allotted on Emma's flowchart for "looseness."
When their family’s vacation spirals into a perilous adventure in a hidden kingdom, Jaylen and Emma learn that the blood pumping in their veins can be weaponized, making them a commodity in a brewing war between magical nations.
Jaylen and Emma must race against time, navigate a web of ancient prophecies, and dark betrayals, and unearth long-hidden secrets to save their family and the world from impending doom. Will they unlock their hidden powers before it’s too late? And what price will they have to pay to stop the coming war?
