We Are a Poem: A Poetry Night Experience with Dasan Ahanu & Friends

Join us for We Are A Poem, a powerful poetry night experience curated by cultural organizer and spoken word artist Dasan Ahanu, taking place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:30 PM at Eno Arts Mill in Hillsborough, NC.

This event explores the meaning of True Community, inspired by the legacy of Pauli Murray, through the lens of storytelling, healing, and joyful resistance. Featuring dynamic performances from spoken word artists, the night will center themes of:

• The weight of expectations and the pressure to overachieve
• Reclaiming rest and mental well-being
• Radical joy and emotional freedom as acts of liberation
