About this Event

This course covers traditional and experimental methods, linking these approaches to past and contemporary watercolour painter's work. Emily will demonstrate different techniques throughout the course and give you time to experiment using the processes in carefully designed exercises. The course will cover colour layering and mixing, and you will learn how to layer colour wet in wet and build up layers. Emily will teach you how to apply a variety of washes; flat, graduating and variegated. You will also have the opportunity to experiment with different textures using masking fluid, wax and clingfilm. By the end of the course you will have built up the confidence to be able to enjoy, experiment and have fun with this versatile medium.

Suitable for beginners as well as those with some experience.
