Warehousing & Logistics programme - Worthing

Our online Warehousing & Logistics programme is designed to equip you with the skills and resources and qualifications needed to thrive in a warehouse and logistics environment. Fully funded for UK residents*, this programme offers comprehensive training and support to help you successfully transition into a Warehouse Operative role and start your career.

Programme Overview

The program delivers 5 days of online training through a blend of live sessions, videos, interactive activities, quizzes, and discussions. It covers essential areas to equip participants with both foundational knowledge and skills:

• Industry Fundamentals: Understanding the warehousing and logistics sector, including warehouse types and the supply chain.
• Safety & Equipment: Crucial training on workplace health and safety, hazard identification, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), manual handling techniques, and the safe operation of Manual Handling Equipment (MHE) like forklifts and pallet trucks.
• Operational Excellence: Focuses on maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, fostering teamwork and communication, and mastering inventory and stock management principles (e.g., stock rotation, labelling, picking, and packing).
• Wider Context: Covers important topics like climate change and environmental awareness, occupational studies, customer service for work readiness, and business administration tasks like order tracking.
• Wellbeing: Addresses stress awareness and mental health in the workplace, offering management strategies.

What's Included & Qualifications

Upon completion, participants will receive several qualifications and support:

• Level 1 Award in stress awareness
• Level 1 Award in occupational studies
• Level 2 Certificate in Warehousing and Storage
• Level 2 Certificate in climate change & environmental awareness
• Job support activities, employer links with live vacancies, and application advice.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for this fully funded programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Aged 19 or older by 31st August 2025.
• Currently receiving Jobseeker's Allowance, Universal Credit, or ESA.
• Lived in the UK or EU for the last 3 years, or have refugee status.
• Not currently enrolled in any other funded education.

Applicants also need a valid form of ID, such as a Birth Certificate, in-date passport, full driving license, or E-Visa.
