Learn how to weave baskets that can hold your treasures!
Class Description: Make a small basket in this workshop that can be hung on the wall. The basket will be an introduction to materials and explore types of weaves used in wicker basketry: randing, 3 rod, and a border roll. Students can focusing on the shaping of a vessel. Bring your own baubles or decorative touches to add to the basket after it is woven.
Instructor Biography: Jo Page has been a life long basket maker and teacher. She owned and operated a basket studio in FL where she wove and taught basketry. After moving back to PA she created a private studio where she weaves, experiments, and organizes for all the class she teaches at The Blossburg Company Store, The Heritage Museum in Troy, PA, The Coppertree Shop and Greener Pastures. She is also working on mastering the growing, harvesting, and weaving of PA grown willow.
Prerequisites: No experience needed.
Class Fee: $45 (includes all fiber materials needed for class)

Maximum Class Size: 8 Students
Target Age: Ages 16 and above
