🌟 Program Overview
Most of us know the famous saints — Francis, Anthony, Teresa — but countless quiet saints have shaped spiritual history in powerful yet hidden ways. Their lives, full of unusual stories, radical compassion, and everyday holiness, offer guidance that speaks directly to modern struggles: feeling overwhelmed, losing clarity, seeking peace, or rediscovering purpose.
Walking with the Quiet Saints is a gentle yearlong program that introduces you to lesser-known saints whose wisdom, courage, and spiritual insight have often been overlooked. Each month we explore a different obscure saint whose life holds a unique lesson for how to live with more intention, peace, compassion, and spiritual groundedness.
Every class includes:
A teaching on a lesser-known saint
A life lesson or spiritual practice drawn from their story
A simple interfaith prayer or meditation
Time for reflection and healing
🌿 Monthly Saints & Themes
(Obscure, meaningful, and deeply human — each offering a life lesson for spiritual growth)
January 4 — St. Zdislava of Lemberk
Theme: Healing in the Home & Everyday Compassion
St. Zdislava was a laywoman devoted to caring for the sick and homeless within her household walls. Her life reminds us that profound healing often begins in small, quiet acts done with great love. She teaches the magic of compassion through daily service.
February 8 — St. Bega of Cumberland
Theme: Courage, Boundaries & Spiritual Strength
A Celtic saint who fled an arranged marriage and lived as a hermit, Bega is known for her miraculous protection and steadfast devotion. She teaches us the importance of honoring our inner truth, establishing boundaries, and choosing spiritual freedom over fear.
March 8 — St. Drogo of Sebourg
Theme: Embracing Uniqueness & Inner Stillness
St. Drogo was said to be capable of bilocation and lived much of his life in solitude due to physical disfigurement. His lesson is one of self-acceptance — embracing the parts of ourselves we hide and finding holiness in quiet, contemplative living.
April 12 — St. Kateri Tekakwitha
Theme: Purity of Spirit & Devotion in Difficult Circumstances
Known as the Lily of the Mohawks, Kateri lived a life of gentle devotion despite hardship and illness. Her message encourages us to cultivate inner purity, resilience, and a heartfelt connection to nature as a spiritual teacher.
May 3 — St. Hildegard of Bingen (Lesser-known in practice, though gaining popularity)
Theme: Visionary Healing & Earth-Based Wisdom
A mystic, herbalist, and musician, Hildegard viewed nature as a living expression of divine love. Her teachings remind us that healing comes from harmony between body, spirit, and the natural world. She awakens creativity and intuitive wisdom.
June 7 — St. Christina the Astonishing
Theme: Emotional Release & Spiritual Courage
Known for her unusual mystical experiences, Christina worked tirelessly for souls in need. Her life encourages us to honor our emotional depths, release what no longer serves us, and trust our unique spiritual calling — even when misunderstood.
July 12 — St. Giles the Hermit
Theme: Healing from Trauma & Gentle Solitude
A protector of the wounded, St. Giles lived peacefully in the forest with a deer as his only companion. His compassion for those who suffered reminds us of the healing power of solitude, nature, and nonjudgmental presence.
August 9 — St. Genevieve of Paris (Often overlooked internationally)
Theme: Inner Strength & Community Protection
Genevieve saved Paris through prayer, intuition, and steadfast leadership. Her message teaches us how one calm, centered spirit can bring peace to an entire community — and how trust in our inner guidance can shift outcomes.
September 6 — St. Brigid of Sweden (Not to be confused with Brigid of Ireland)
Theme: Divine Inspiration & Household Peace
A mother and visionary, Brigid of Sweden emphasized spiritual renewal within ordinary home life. She shows us how divine inspiration often rises through daily tasks, caregiving, and creating peaceful rhythms in our personal environment.
October 11 — St. Columba of Spain
Theme: Spiritual Boundaries & Personal Integrity
A young woman who chose fidelity to her spiritual path over social expectation, Columba represents courage in the face of pressure. She teaches us to hold firm to our beliefs and maintain energetic boundaries with clarity and grace.
November 8 — St. Gertrude the Great (Undervalued mystic)
Theme: Heart Wisdom & Divine Friendship
St. Gertrude experienced profound visions centered on compassion and divine love. Her teachings encourage us to open our hearts, deepen our inner listening, and cultivate a warm, personal connection to the divine.
December 6 — St. Melangell of Wales
Theme: Protection, Sanctuary & Winter Quietude
Known as the patron saint of hares, Melangell created a sanctuary for all beings seeking refuge. Her gentle spirit reminds us to slow down, protect our peace, and embrace winter as a time for rest, renewal, and sacred stillness.
