State Representative Jolanda “Jo” Jones is inviting volunteers to march with her and House District 147 in the 2026 Official Houston Pride Parade on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
The Houston Pride Parade is one of the city’s biggest, loudest, most colorful celebrations of community. We are looking for volunteers who are ready to walk, wave, laugh, smile, and show up with pride. This is a chance to stand with our LGBTQ+ community, celebrate Houston, and help represent District 147 with love, joy, and unity. 🌈

Volunteer Arrival Window:
5:00 PM to 6:30 PM
Volunteers should arrive between 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM. Please give yourself plenty of time to park downtown, walk to the meetup area, and find our parade group.

The parade begins near the downtown area and continues toward Allen Parkway. Parade participants will line up in the staging area before the parade begins. Once you arrive near Sam Houston Park, walk toward the parade staging area and look for Entry #18 in the Brown Zone.
If you do not see us right away, keep walking along the staging area until you find the Jolanda “Jo” Jones team.
What to Wear:
Colorful clothes encouraged 🏳️🌈
Comfortable shoes strongly recommended
Pride colors, flags, beads, and festive accessories are welcome
Please dress for walking, heat, and crowds

Portable fan or cooling towel if needed
Pride accessories or decorations you can safely carry
Good energy, patience, and a big smile

After arriving at Sam Houston Park, walk toward the parade staging area and look for Entry #18. If you do not see us immediately, keep walking along the staging area until you find us.
Should I bring water?
Yes. Please bring water. It will be hot, crowded, and active.
What should I wear?
Wear colorful clothes, Pride colors, and comfortable shoes. Come ready to walk, wave, laugh, and celebrate.
Can I bring Pride accessories?
Yes. Flags, beads, signs, and fun accessories are welcome as long as they are safe, respectful, and easy to carry.
