Join the Longton Carnival & Pig Walk Parade 2025 – Volunteer with Us!Urban Wilderness is once again bringing fun, color, music, and entertainment to Longton town center with the Longton Carnival and Pig Walk Parade on Sunday, 6 April 2025. This year’s event promises to be bigger, brighter, and bursting with spring energy, and we need enthusiastic volunteers to help make it a huge success!
Volunteer Roles on the Day
We’re looking for parade stewards and support for performances, artists, and workshops. As a valued volunteer, you’ll receive snacks, brews, lunch, and an exclusive Pig Walk 2025 T-shirt!

Join us for a volunteer training session on Saturday, 29 March, where we’ll provide all the essential details for supporting the Carnival.

Get Creative – Help Make Costumes & Props
We’re preparing for the big day with our Creative Volunteers, crafting costumes and props ahead of the event. Join our drop-in sessions:
🖌 Wednesdays (term time): 10am – 12pm
🎭 Evening sessions (every two weeks from 7 February): Fridays, 7pm – 9pm
All are welcome—no experience needed!
