Stoke Lanterns is back for 2025 on Friday 21st March, meet outside Stoke Library at 5.45pm for a 6pm start. Join B arts for a centenary celebration of the last 100 years of life in Stoke. Stoke-Upon-Trent has a very long history (and is mentioned in the Domesday book!) but for this event we are hoping to shine a light on some of the people, places and events of the last 100 years. The event will feature willow lanterns, projections, walkabout performance and the beautiful Stoke Elk puppet. The short parade will start outside Stoke Library and finish with free refreshments at Stoke Minster.
If you'd like to make a lantern for the parade we will be running free drop in workshops dates and locations TBC.
We will also have plenty of spare lanterns for people are unable to make the workshops.
