Visitor Appreciation Day 2024Park & Location: Prairie City State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA)

•Where: Main Staging Area. Follow signage along the road to the event which is located on the west side of the main/central restroom area. (Turn left after the entrance kiosk, continue for 0.75 miles, and turn right at the road junction, park off main road at any available site.)
•When: Friday, October 11, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Saturday, October 12, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
•Fee: Free for both day use and overnight camping.
•What to expect: Friday night campfire and a full day of Saturday activities including OHV community informational booths by clubs, non-profits, State and U.S. Government, scavenger hunt, free raffle of OHV items, gear swap, MX sound testing, kid’s activities, food, music and more. Event schedule of activities will be posted on-site, available at entrance kiosk and online through social media.
•Ages: All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
•Preparation: Plan to spend the weekend or day with your community free of charge. Overnight “dry” camping is available on a first come basis both Friday and Saturday nights. “Dry” camping requires that you bring water to your campsite for drinking, washing and other necessities. Ensure you have enough to last your entire adventure. It also means there are no utility hook ups or showers. Public restrooms are provided.
