About this Event

Bring out the family and start your autumn off right with California State Parks! Learn what being a California State Park Peace Officer is all about. Recruiters, State Park Peace Officers, and Communications Operators (Dispatchers) will be on-site for meet and greets and to answer questions. Multiple vendors and food trucks will be on hand to provide family activities for all ages.

Enjoy demonstrations by the California State Parks Law Enforcement team and others throughout the day, including:

K9 Unit apprehension and obedience demonstrations.
Immersive set-ups by our Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation team, including Offroad RC cars and State Park Off-Highway Vehicle displays.
Backcountry Kitchen setup by the California Conservation Core
Helicopter landing and more!

Networking opportunities: Connect with current Communication Operators and State Park Officers or Lifeguards about their experiences and the impact of their work.

Recruitment booths: Meet with recruitment specialists to discuss job requirements, benefits, and the application process.

Skills demonstrations: Watch live demonstrations of essential skills and techniques used in park safety and emergency response.

Food on-site: Grab a bite to eat at one of three food trucks and enjoy the recently renovated Day Use area at Black Miners Bar.
