Does your child love watching YouTube videos? Are they looking to learn more about how to develop their creativity? Do you want your child to develop their confidence in a safe and professionally-designed environment, and meet like-minded friends?

We are offering a brand new, unique 2 day course this easter where children between the ages of 7-12 will be able to learn all the soft skills of talking in front of a camera, as well as the technical knowledge of working behind it. Our staff are all DBS certifided and have decades of experience working in performance and video production.

Our course will operate 9:00am-4:30pm on Tuesday 7th April and Wednesday 8tht April 2026. It will be held at Coalville CAN, Memorial Square, Coalville, LE67 3TU. Drop offs will be available from 8:45am.

Your child will have the opportunity to create their own piece of YouTube-style content and feel the pride of having their video watched and celebrated by friends and family members in a safe and secure environment. They will have access to professional production equipment including cameras, lighting and microphones, as well as going through a creative design process that will help them to understand how to structure a small project from conception to delivery.

We will also be spending time talking to the kids about what it means to use and create online video content in an ethical and responsible way. We will be talking about the realities of being a "YouTuber" (both good and bad!) and focussing on the soft skills that can be learned and applied to all manner of jobs and circumstances in their futures.

All of this will take place within our community-minded venue and organisation, Coalville CAN; a coop with a rich heritage of providing fantastic and fun experiences for young people in North West Leicestershire.
