Victoria All Candidate Forum on Food Systems
About this Event
Victoria is ready for a food system that feeds us all—sustainably, equitably, and locally. In 2026, let’s elect leaders who will make it happen.
Join the Victoria Urban Food Table and the Fernwood Neighbourhood House on October 5 at the Fernwood Community Centre for a facilitated in person forum to hear directly from candidates on where they stand on food systems issues and how they plan to address the growing needs for a food secure region.
Entrance to the event will be via the back doors. The Pembroke street route is wheelchair accessible to the entrance, and we will have a phone number posted to the door for additional accessibility assistance on the day of the event. For additional accessibilty assitance, please email [email protected]
Meet your Facilitator: Treska Watson
Treska Watson is the Executive Director of the Mustard Seed, which is a non-profit serving the capital region's food insecure. Following a career in hospitality and logistics, she was able to make the switch from corporate to non-profit and she hasn’t looked back since. Bringing her love of people, strong communication skills and a passion to serve our community, Treska has found her place at the Mustard Seed. When not at work she can be found exploring this beautiful island we call home, travelling and spending time with family and friends.
