Benefits of Breathwork & Sound Bath
The breathwork that I guide you through, is very simple - yet very transformative. Many people who I've worked with have left sessions having experienced emotional breakthroughs, heightened creativity, and a deeper connection with self.
Breathwork is a form of active meditation that works directly with the body’s natural healing ability to reset, release, and regulate through intentional breathing. Through guided breathwork the body is able to tap into different states of consciousness allowing you to break away from overactive thinking and tap into your inner knowing.
Sound baths use vibration and the frequency of instruments to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, our “rest & digest system”, decreasing heart rate, blood pressure, and respiration which can lead to a trance state of bliss and tranquility. I close out each class with a soothing sound bath, incorporating crystal sound bowls, chimes, gongs, and other various instruments and melodies to slow down brainwave activity and to promote deep relaxation. Many people report feeling like they are floating during my sound baths.
My intention as a practitioner, trained through Baltimore Breathwork, is to always hold space where you feel safe, comfortable, and free to release without fear. This is a beginner friendly class open to men and women.
Come as you are, come with good vibes, and come ready to breathe.
Please note: This breathwork style is NOT recommended for persons with epilepsy or history of aneurisms, stroke, or severe psychiatric symptoms, particularly psychosis or paranoia. If you are pregnant or have had recent surgery please consult with your physician prior to breathwork.
FAQs:
Will there be outdoor bathrooms?
Unfortunately, we will not have access to any restrooms. However, there are local businesses close by with public restrooms.
Do I need to bring anything to class?
YES. Be sure to bring your yoga mat, blankets, eye pillow (optional but great for deep relaxation), preferred crystals or stones to hold during active meditation, and water. Since we are outside, I recommend bringing an extra blanket to lay your yoga mat on.
How should I dress?
Comfortably, think yoga pants, sweats, joggers, loose fitting clothes.
Is this a kid-friendly experience?
Unfortunately, this class is only for adults, 18+.
Do I have to lie down for this?
To receive the maximum benefits from this form of breathwork it is best that you are lieing down on a flat surface. Feel free to bring a pillow to rest under your knees for additional support. If you are unable to lie down but still would like to enjoy this outdoor experience, please bring a lawn chair with you.
Do I need to do anything to prepare?
No experience is needed—just come with good energy and a willingness to experience the power of your breath.
Is there a rain date?
We are not speaking that into existance. TBD. In the event there is a rescheduled date or a new location, all tickets will be honored.
