Vibe Coding, Done Properly
Turn a Business Problem or Idea into a Deployed Application in 3 Hours
Have an idea for an application but don't know how to code?
Frustrated by a manual process, spreadsheet, or business problem that you wish had a simple software solution?
Curious about AI-assisted software development but unsure where to start?
This hands-on workshop is designed for non-developers who want to use modern AI tools to build real applications without becoming software engineers.
In just three hours, you'll learn how to work with AI as your development partner, taking an idea from concept through design, development, version control, and deployment. By the end of the session, you'll have a working application running in the cloud and a practical understanding of how AI is changing software creation.
Unlike many "vibe coding" demonstrations that focus on generating code as quickly as possible, this workshop takes a structured approach. You'll learn lightweight design, documentation, version control, and deployment practices that help ensure what you build can be maintained and improved over time.
No programming experience is required.
What You'll Learn
We'll use a modern AI-powered development workflow built around:
- Claude Code for AI-assisted application development
- GitHub for version control and project management
- Vercel for cloud deployment
You'll learn:
- What vibe coding and agentic coding are, and where they fit
- How AI can help transform ideas into working software
- When AI-generated applications are appropriate—and when they aren't
- How to define and structure a problem before building
- How to use Claude Code effectively as a development partner
- How to document requirements and design decisions
- How to manage changes using GitHub
- How to deploy an application to the cloud using Vercel
- Common pitfalls and practical lessons learned from real-world projects
Workshop Format
Hour 1: Foundations and Setup
We'll cover:
- What vibe coding is
- The opportunities and limitations of AI-assisted development
- How to think about software design as a non-developer
- Setting up Claude Code, GitHub, and Vercel
- Choosing a project idea
Hours 2–3: Build and Deploy
Participants will:
- Define a business problem or idea
- Create a lightweight design
- Build an application with Claude Code
- Manage the project in GitHub
- Deploy the application to Vercel
- Share and test results
By the end of the workshop, you'll have a deployed application and a repeatable process you can use again.
Who Should Attend?
This workshop is ideal for:
- Business professionals
- Project managers
- Business analysts

What You'll Leave With
You won't leave with a coding certificate.
You'll leave with:
- A working deployed application
- A practical AI-assisted development workflow
- Experience using Claude Code, GitHub, and Vercel together
- The confidence to build your next application independently
- A better understanding of how AI is changing software development
Because the best way to understand AI-assisted development is to build something real.
