Welcome to the North American Materials Education Symposium (NAMES) 2026!
Join us on July 30-31st, 2026 (with an optional workshop on July 29th) for an event filled with insightful discussions and innovative ideas on materials education. NAMES is a key event for the materials science education community. It focuses on sharing educators' experiences with fellow practitioners on how and what to teach in materials science to benefit the next generation of engineers and scientists.
The themes of the conference this year will be Materials & Sustainability, Student Engagement & Materials Curriculum Development, and AI & Machine Learning in Materials Education (see below for details).
