We are excited to invite all residents to join us in a special VE Day celebration, his day marks a significant moment in history.Schedule of Events:
9:00 AM: We will begin with a proclamation on St. Mary & St. David Parish Church steps to mark the start of the day
Approx. 9:30 AM: Afterwards, come along to the Town Hall for tea and coffee, where we hope to showcase an array of memorabilia. We will decorate the Town Hall with art, poems, and displays from local school children and bring history to life.
10:00 AM โ 12:00 PM: School children will perform songs and poems from the era, giving us a heartfelt glimpse into what VE Day meant to those who lived through it.
12:00 PM: A traditional fish & chips meal will be served with special entertainment from the era as you dine.

9:30 PM: As part of a national tradition, we will light the beacon on the coastal path. The lighting of beacons on VE Day symbolises the "light of peace" that emerged after the darkness of World War II.
Residents, please get involved by sharing any memorabilia you may have from the era, whether itโs photos, medals, or personal stories. This is a day to remember our shared history, and your contributions will make it even more special.
