🌿 The Art of Clay: An Easter-Inspired Workshop
In this guided sculpture class, you will create a bespoke beautiful clay bunny, using traditional hand-building techniques. Working with clay in an open-fronted barn, you’ll be surrounded by the gentle presence of farm animals, including hens, and cockerels; Reg and Colin, donkeys; Nemo and Niall, goats; Dell, Queen Bee, Liz and Betsy, and the wonderfully woolly Swiss Valais Blacknose sheep. This natural setting provides an inspiring backdrop as you engage in the mindful, tactile process of sculpting.
This workshop is designed for beginners and art enthusiasts alike, offering a relaxed yet enriching introduction to clay work. All materials and expert tuition are provided, allowing you to explore shape, texture, and form under the guidance of experienced artist and facilitator, Jayne Hopwood.
All the farm animals are friendly and love to be stroked & petted
🌾 Creativity, Well-being & Connection
Sculpting is more than an artistic pursuit—it is an act of self-expression, mindfulness, and transformation. Engaging with clay encourages focus, relaxation, and a deep connection to both the material and the natural world. Our workshops integrate creative practice with holistic well-being, offering a space for personal exploration, community, and artistic discovery.
Jayne Hopwood, an artist and advocate for creativity as a tool for health and self-development, leads this series of monthly sculpture workshops. Each session introduces new materials and techniques, gradually building confidence and artistic fluency.
